Scanning into Will Call
To scan prescriptions into Will Call:
- From the Workbench, select the Will Call navigator button.
The Scan into Will Call window opens. - Scan the privacy label or enter the Rx Number into the text box.
- Prescriptions that can be updated have a checkbox in the first column.
- If a prescription cannot be updated, a reason displays in the Result column.
- Select Update & Notify to update all eligible prescriptions to Waiting for Pickup/Delivery. A Rexall Reminder is sent to the patient if they are enrolled.

Rexall Reminders Notification Settings
Communication Method Notification sent after scanned into Will Call Notification cutoff time* If multiple prescriptions are ready at the same time, how many notifications are sent out? Phone 4 hours 8 pm local time If all prescriptions are scanned into Will Call within 240 minutes (4 hours) of each other, one notification is sent to the patient.
If the prescriptions are scanned into Will Call with a gap of 240 minutes (4 hours) or greater or each other, the patient will receive multiple notifications.
Text 2 minutes 10 pm local time If all scripts are scanned into Will Call within 2 minutes of each other, one notification is sent to the patient.
If the prescriptions are scanned into Will call with a gap of 2 minutes or greater of each other, the patient will get multiple notifications.
Email 2 minutes 10 pm local time If all scripts are scanned into Will Call within 2 minutes of each other, one notification is sent to the patient.
If the prescriptions are scanned into Will call with a gap of 2 minutes or greater of each other, the patient will get multiple notifications.
*For all communications methods, if the prescriptions are scanned into Will Call after the cutoff time, the notification is not sent until 8 am the next business day, regardless if the pharmacy is closed or not.
Notification can be cancelled if:
The prescription is cancelled.
The prescription is scanned through the POS.
A patient's status is changed from Active to Deceased, Obsolete, Inactive, Hospitalized, Animal, or Out of Province
A patient's Rexall Reminder Preference is set to No.
